Program Overview:

The Pre-Kindergarten program follows the guidelines set by the Archdiocese of Washington DC.   The curriculum is thematic based and cross-curricular.  The children learn through hands-on and center-based activities and in large and small groups.  Our goals are as follows:

Spiritual Development:

• To create an awareness of God through positive relationships with parents, teachers, and peers.
• To empower the children to speak to God in thanksgiving, praise, and love.

Intellectual Development:

• To foster an awakening of wonder and curiosity in the young child and to empower each one to use his/her senses to experience life.
• To develop listening, thinking, and problem solving skills.
• To develop technological skills that are developmentally appropriate for young children.

Physical Development:

• To develop muscle coordination, gross and fine motor.
• To foster self-care skills and healthy practices.

Emotional Development:

• To encourage self-control, tolerance, and patience.

Positive Self-Esteem:

To develop independence, self-confidence and a sense of security.
