Parents can be assured that we champion superior standards of academic excellence, and we commit ourselves to teach an integrated curriculum rooted in the "Gospel Values." Moreover, we celebrate the giftedness and talents of each child entrusted to our care. We endeavor to empower our children to meet the intellectual, social and ethical challenges that they will encounter while living in a technological and global society. Since we also recognize the relevance of community, we promote strong relationships and a positive, healthy self-esteem. We strive to empower our students to develop self-control and responsibility for their actions. We expect each child to take ownership for his/her decisions and to value other's thoughts and interests.

We believe that Parents are the first and foremost educators of their children. Because of this position we consider that our parents are a vital and a much appreciated part of our school and parish community. Our children are our most important resource, and we parents and teachers have a personal responsibility to see that they are well educated. We, therefore, encourage our Parents and Teachers to work together in a partnership that is both positive and cooperative. We invite our parents to participate in our Home and School Association, Partners-in-Education, and the Board of Education.

Additionally, we strongly believe that each family's presence at various school functions is kindred to a successful school year. We trust that throughout the school year we will have each family's full cooperation as we - (Parents and Teachers) - work together in a collaborative manner to meet the diverse needs of our children.

Academically, we emphasize a solid foundation in the basics of reading, writing, speaking, and listening as well as in math and the sciences. Holy Cross School is also equally committed to programs and procedures which tap the enormous capacity of educational technology. With current state-of-the art equipment in our technology lab and within our classrooms, parents can be assured that we will strive to integrate computers and related technologies into a variety of cross-curricular activities. At the same time we endeavor to foster a strong foundation in the "Traditional Basics" of Reading Writing and Math as well as the Basics of the 21st Century. We believe that technology supports inquiry-based learning, fosters creativity, and extends and enhances student-initiated research, information retrieval, and organization.

We also emphasize the "Arts". We offer Band for our students in grades 4-8. This activity is being provided by a company that has been approved by the Archdiocese.
